Mr Gurmeet Singh is currently working with Singapore Airlines. Prior to this, he was an army officer with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Commandos. He participated in numerous SAF Day parades and the prestigious National Day Parade in 2004. Being an officer in the army, he is well trained not only to manage and handle people but also plan large scale events. His current job requires him to meet many people and this certainly has enhanced his communication skills.
He holds an Accountancy Diploma from Singapore Polytechnic and is currently pursuing his degree.
An avid sportsman, he represented Clementi Khalsa Football Club (now known as Balestier Khalsa) in the National Prime League where he captained the side. He has also represented Singapore Sikhs in the annual Gurdwara Cup. He actively engages in various runs and has completed two marathons to date.
Gurmeet hopes to use his experience and knowledge in sports to engage young Sikhs under YSA’s umbrella and develop greater interaction with other organisations.
